As is common in divorce cases, unfortunately, mud starts to be flung by the parties involved.
Shannon Beador from the The Real Housewives of Orange County is being accused by her husband, David, of “excess drinking,” and alienating him from his own children, a common accusation in divorce cases. In return, David is seeking fifty percent custody of their daughters.
“Shannon’s employment encourages excess drinking and extended travel to which Shannon has chosen not to inform me and make accommodations for the kids to stay with me while she is away.”
In Florida, as part of every Marital Settlement Agreement I have negotiated, travel arrangements are discussed in advance between the parties. Information is put in writing of the time, dates, and places where the other party will be staying with the child, even giving the non-custodial parent access to the minor child whether telephonically or popular communication applications such as Skype or WhatsApp.
At issue is also attorney fees which both sides in their court filings claim each is entitled to. Who ultimately pays for attorney’s fees depends on the issues involved, the winning side, and possibly any disparity in income.
