A Presidential Coup d’é·tat

President Trump is now accusing former acting FBI director Andrew McCabe of having committed treason and plotting a coup. Of course, Trump made his statement based on comments by Sean Hannity during his show.

Quoting Hannity, Trump wrote:

“’The biggest abuse of power and corruption scandal in our history, and it’s much worse than we thought. Andrew McCabe (FBI) admitted to plotting a coup (government overthrow) when he was serving in the FBI, before he was fired for lying & leaking.’” @seanhannity @FoxNews Treason!”

This is the part that I remind you that Trump is actually President of the United States.

The White House Even Lies About Applause

Published February 20, 2018

Vice President Mike Pence was at the Munich Security Conference in Germany over the weekend.

During his speech, Pence announced President Trump’s name and expecting applause, there was awkward silence. But, if you believe the White House which is now the government version of the National Enquirer, there was applause. The clip of Vice President Pence has gone viral on social media.

Since then, the White House has produced the transcript of Pence’s speech and guess what, there is plenty of pauses for applause in the transcripts.

This isn’t the first time nor the last time that the White House seems to have a different version of published transcripts versus reality. Not only was “applause” written into the transcripts, but sentences were changed all together.

Pence had said “I bring greetings from the 45th president of the United States of America, President Donald Trump.” However, the transcripts read that Pence said: “to them and to all of you, it’s my great honor to speak to you today, on behalf of a champion of freedom and a champion of a strong national defense, the 45th President of the United States of America, President Donald Trump. (Applause).”

If you can’t believe the White House to be honest in something as simple as a transcript, what can we believe?

Mind you, the Washington Post fact checkers have President Trump lying at fourteen times a day, and he doubled the amount of lies he says daily in his second year as President versus his first.
