Add John Hickenlooper to the List

Former Governor of Colorado John Hickenlooper has joined the growing list of Democrats running for president in 2020.

In an interview with Colorado Public Radio, Hickenlooper explained how to deal with President Trump’s bully tactics.

“As a skinny kid with Coke bottle glasses and a funny last name. I’ve stood up to my fair share of bullies. Standing tall when it matters is one of the things that really drives me.”

“You say back what they’re saying, but you twist it just enough so the people they’re trying to impress see the lunacy, the comedy in what they’re trying to say,” Hickenlooper said. “When their audience begins laughing at them, it drives most bullies nuts.”

Abuse of Power and Obstruction of Justice for President Trump

There is no doubt that Michael Cohen’s testimony was explosive and opened the door into further investigations into President Trump.

Now, the House Judiciary Committee will seek documents from more than sixty people and organizations as it begins investigations into obstruction of justice and abuse of power by President Donald Trump.

Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler in his interview with ABC’s “This Week” said:

“We are going to initiate investigations into abuses of power, into corruption … and into obstruction of justice,” Nadler said. “It’s our job to protect the rule of law.”

“It’s very clear that the president obstructed justice,” Nadler said. However, on the issue of impeachment, Nadler believed it was too soon to make that determination.

“Before you impeach somebody, you have to persuade the American public that it ought to happen,” he said.

The reality is the Democrats are hoping for indictments or criminal charges to avoid impeachment.

Fact is, if President Trump is indicted, impeachment is a given, if not Trump would resign anyway. Democrats don’t want to be blamed for impeachment even if they get enough votes in the Senate, or even worse, seek impeachment and not get it.
