And the Border Wall Lawsuits Begin- Read the Lawsuit

In total, sixteen states are suing the Trump administration on declaring the wall a national emergency.

The lawsuit seeks to prevent President Trump from diverting money from other programs to the U.S.-Mexico border wall.

Litigation is not a surprise as I’ve been writing about this for months, and in the end, it will just be a waste of court resources and tens of millions of dollars spent so President Trump can satisfy his base.

President Trump is seeking to supplement the $1.375 billion Congress approved. In total, the President wants $8 billion meaning $3.6 billion in military construction funds and $2.5 billion from the Department of Defense’s counter-drug activities will be re-directed.

The states involved in the lawsuit are as follows:

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon and Virginia.
