Democrat Tom Steyer has been at the forefront of the impeach Trump campaign which included spending $120 million of his own money. Steyer has also been integral in getting Democrats elected, but after much speculation, Steyer has confirmed he will not join the 2020 Presidential race.
However, Steyer has pledged another $40 million towards the impeachment effort which will include a public education initiative, town halls across the country, a summit in Washington, D.C., and mobilizing millions of supporters to continue pushing their representatives to back impeachment.
Part of the 2019 campaign will also include a new television ad series focusing on increasing public and congressional support for impeachment.
In addition, efforts will focus on the districts of Reps. Adam Schiff, Maxine Waters, Richard Neal, Jerrold Nadler and Elijah Cummings, who lead key committees of oversight and investigations while also being in states with Republican senators up for re-election in 2020.
