Cars’ Ric Ocasek and Paulina Porizkova Are Getting Divorced

Ric Ocasek, the former lead singer of the Cars and Paulina Porizkova, whom have been married for twenty-eight years, are getting divorced. The divorce seems mutual and uncontested.
Ocasek had met Paulina while filming the Car’s music video- “Drive.” The Cars popular during the late seventies and eighties, were awarded “Best New Artist” in 1978 by Rolling Stone Readers’ Poll. They also won Video of the Year for “You Might Think.”
Their debut album titled The Cars, sold sold six million copies and overall, The Cars have sold over twenty-three million albums in the United States.
In 1988, the band dissolved. In 2018, the Cars were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Ocasek and Paulina have two adult sons.
Ric Ocasek, frontman and lead singer for The Cars, was been found dead in his New York residence. He was 75 years old.
