Claire’s, the popular pre-teen department store which claims to have the most ear piercings in the world, more than three million annually, is another victim of online retail sales and is facing bankruptcy.
Claire’s debt is more than $1.4 billion and comes due next year and a $60 million interest payment due next week.
Claire’s boomed shortly after opening, more than 350 stores between the years 2010-2013 and a total of 4,220 locations in forty-five different countries.
