Coffee and Morning Headlines- Trump’s Insults, Adam Schiff, Florida’s Recount, Georgia’s Governor
Good morning to you. It’s November 19, 2018 and Thanksgiving is just a few days away. So, have some coffee and let’s review this morning’s headlines.
President Trump Insults Again
President Trump continues with the rhetoric that Special Counsel Robert Mueller was not confirmed by the Senate. He doesn’t have to be, but regardless of the fact that Mueller was appointed by Trump’s own Justice Department, the President insulted Adam Schiff by naming him “little Adam Schitt.” My god if you don’t see the disgusting behavior of the President, there’s something wrong with you.
“So funny to see little Adam Schitt (D-CA) talking about the fact that Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker was not approved by the Senate, but not mentioning the fact that Bob Mueller (who is highly conflicted) was not approved by the Senate!”
I wouldn’t mess with Schiff. His response: “That’s a good one. Was that like your answers to Mr. Mueller’s questions, or did you write this one yourself?”

Governor of Georgia
Stacey Abrams has ended her campaign for Governor of Georgia, making Brian Kemp the new Governor of the state, but Abrams has not conceded.
“To watch an elected official who claims to represent the people in this state baldly pin his hopes for election on the suppression of the people’s democratic right to vote has been truly appalling. So let’s be clear: This is not a speech of concession.”
Florida’s Midterm Election Recounts
The Mayor of the city of Tallahassee, Andrew Gillum has conceded to Ron DeSantis in the race for governor. Meanwhile, Broward County with all it’s issues regarding counting votes for the midterm elections including missing the deadline for recounting, the Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes has resigned.
It is also believed that Republican and former Governor of Florida, Rick Scott will be the next Congressional Senator, edging out incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson. No doubt that Rick Scott is eyeing a Presidential campaign in the future.
DeSantis’ campaign approach was to embrace President Trump, to the point he was a mini-me version, while Scott’s approach was to stay away from the President as much as possible.
