Coffee and Today’s Headlines
Good morning to you this Wednesday August 29, 2018. Time for some coffee and news.
Lots to write about today, and more stories I’ll go into deeper later on.
We can’t shake President Trump off. Yesterday, President Trump said Google is “rigged” against him. Now one of President Trump’s aides is saying that the President is considering whether Google should be regulated. Good luck with that ignorant Authoritarian move.
In a tweet, the President said as follows-
“Google search results for “Trump News” shows only the viewing/reporting of Fake News Media. In other words, they have it RIGGED, for me & others, so that almost all stories & news is BAD. Fake CNN is prominent. Republican/Conservative & Fair Media is shut out. Illegal? 96% of….
….results on “Trump News” are from National Left-Wing Media, very dangerous. Google & others are suppressing voices of Conservatives and hiding information and news that is good. They are controlling what we can & cannot see. This is a very serious situation-will be addressed!”
John McCain will lie in state today in Arizona. McCain’s funeral plans for the week are listed below.
Florida’s Governor’s Race
In a stunning victory, Florida’s Andrew Gillum defeated former U.S. Representative Gwen Graham. Gillum will now face Republican Ron DeSantis who is backed by President Trump.
With a victory, Gillum would be Florida’s first black governor. It’s about time!
Jacksonville Mass Shooting
Attorneys for the victims of the mass shooting in Jacksonville Landings during the gaming competition, announced they will be filing lawsuits before the end of the week.
Eyes are now on Devin Nunes from California. We all know how Nunes has been trying to disrupt the Robert Mueller investigation, even meeting at the White House without notifying the very committee he chairs, but now, he took a flight to London to investigate further into the Steele Dossier.
Enjoy that second cup of coffee and have a good day.
