Coffee, Morning Headline News- Trump, Thanksgiving, Melania, Migrant Caravan
Whether you work today, have the day off, or are getting ready for Black Friday, you need coffee. So, grab a cup and let’s review this morning’s headline news.
We all know not to drunken dial or text, or even Facebook. President Trump however doesn’t drink, so I’m not sure what his excuse is, but his phone call to the military was a disaster.
Only the President could think of saying he is most thankful for himself on Thanksgiving while the military is thousands of miles from home.
“For having a great family and for having made a tremendous difference in this country. I made a tremendous difference in the country. This country is so much stronger now than it was when I took office that you won’t believe it.”
“And I mean, you see it, but so much stronger that people can’t even believe it. When I see foreign leaders, they say we cannot believe the difference in strength between the United States now and the United States two years ago. Made a lot of progress.”
From there, President Trump continued with his incoherent gibberish, bashing the courts.
“It’s a terrible thing when judges take over your protective services, when they tell you how to protect your border. It’s a disgrace.”
The traditional call made by Presidents on Thanksgiving is to boost morale, not sure it worked this time.
The Migrant Caravan
I remember hearing about some sort of migrant caravan filled with criminals coming towards our border that the President in order to protect the country, sent the military to the border the day before the midterm elections, but then removed the military for reasons unknown before the caravan arrived.
Anyway, President Trump who loves shutdowns, whether government shutdowns or border shutdowns, is back at it again.
“If we find that it’s uncontrollable, if we find it gets to a level where we are going to lose control or where people are going to start getting hurt, we will close entry into the country for a period of time until we can get it under control. “The whole border … I mean, the whole border.”
Good luck with that.
Melania Trump’s Tweet
Only one of the most bullied persons on the planet, first lady Melania Trump, would think of tweeting on Thanksgiving Day “wishing you all a very happy Thanksgiving! As we give thanks, let’s keep those who can’t be with their families in our thoughts today.”
I guess she doesn’t know about President Trump sending 5,000 military troops to the border for his political stunt, at one point threatening to send 15,000. Then again, Ivanka Trump didn’t know that using her private email was the wrong thing to do.
Wishing you all a very happy Thanksgiving! As we give thanks, let’s keep those who can’t be with their families in our thoughts today. #Thanksgiving

Parkland School Shooting
The students from the Parkland school shooting were awarded the International Children’s Peace Prize in Cape Town, South Africa by Archbishop Desmond Tutu who praised their work with “March for Our Lives.”
“The peaceful campaign to demand safe schools and communities, and the eradication of gun violence, is reminiscent of other great peace movements in history. I am in awe of these children whose powerful message is amplified by their youthful energy and an unshakable belief that children can — no, must — improve their own futures.”
