The picture you see as a cover is myself logging into the website to see if I am entitled to a settlement from the lawsuit filed against Equifax.
I was a victim of fraud in 2017-2018 multiple times, so I logged into the site, put basic information, immediately was notified I am entitled to compensation and chose a $125 pre-paid card.
Realistically, I am most likely entitled to more, but it required extensive documentation and I did not bother with it, but the maximum you are entitled to is $20,000.
The breach of Equifax was the largest of its kind, 56 percent of Americans were affected and the settlement may reach $700 million.
If you were affected by the 2017 Equifax data breach, you can now file a claim for a piece of the settlement.
The official settlement website, www.equifaxbreachsettlement.com, has been posted and is accepting claims. The information is basic, quick, and you will know immediately whether you qualify or not.
To confirm you’re eligible and to file a claim, enter your last name and the last six digits of your Social Security number on the site or call the Settlement Administrator at 1-833-759-2982.
You can also receive forms via mail.
