According to MSNBC NEWS, U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin warned Republican senators that the unemployment rate could hit 20% because of the coronavirus if a rescue package isn’t approved.

Mnuchin is seeking a $1 trillion stimulus package that would send cash to Americans within two weeks and provide financial support as well for airlines and other industries. Senator Mitch Romney has stated publicly he wants a $1,000 check issued immediately to each citizen.

Regardless of a stimulus package, there is no doubt that the coronavirus will affect the economy.
