Divorce Rates Falling

According to a report by Eye Witness News 3, the divorce rate is at an all-time low per a new study.

Per researchers at the National Center for Family and Marriage at Bowling Green University, the divorce rate in 2017 dropped 29% since its peak in 1979.

States with the Highest Divorce Rates

  • Arkansas (25.5 per 1,000)
  • Delaware (24 per 1,000)
  • Kentucky (22.8 per 1,000)
  • Alabama (22.5 per 1,000)
  • Oklahoma (20.6 per 1,000)

States with the Lowest Divorce Rates as of 2017:

  • Hawaii (10 per 1,000)
  • Montana (12 per 1,000)
  • District of Columbia (12.1 per 1,000)
  • New Jersey (12.4 per 1,000)
  • Illinois (12.9 per 1,000)
