Florida’s Racist GOP POS Ron DeSantis

I never expected to have multiple posts calling members of the GOP POS, but they do what they do, and I have to call them out on it.

Now, my own state of Florida has a POS running for Governor and no surprise he is a racist.

With the Florida primaries over, comes mudslinging. I just didn’t expect it within hours of the last vote counted.

The Democrats are being represented by Andrew Gillum, the mayor of the Tallahassee. The Republicans by Ron DeSantis who is supported by President Trump.

On Fox News the day after the primaries, Racist Ron DeSantis said:

“We’ve got to work hard to make sure we continue Florida going in a good direction. Let’s build off the success we’ve had on Gov. Rick Scott. The last thing we need to do is to monkey this up by trying to embrace a socialist agenda with huge tax increases and bankrupting the state.”

Of course, President Twitter had already tweeted that Gillum was a “failed socialist mayor.” Gillum is supported by Bernie Sanders and no, Gillum is not a socialist. How stupid is that tweet?

Gillum is the mayor of Tallahassee, the state’s capital. You can’t throw a stick without hitting a politician.

Of course, now every member of the GOP in Florida is running to the media to protect DeSantis and say he is not a racist. Sorry folks, he is.

Let’s simplify this: if I shoot you and kill you, am I a murderer? If I use racist terminology, am I a racist?

Let’s go back in time. Legendary sportscaster Howard Cosell once made a statement “that little monkey gets loose doesn’t he.” There was immediate outrage.

Cosell was known for using the monkey term with his grandchildren and said multiple times look at that little monkey run with white NFL players, too.

He was also good friends with Muhammed Ali. And this goes back to the seventies and eighties when no doubt things were different to say the least. Remember, the Civil Rights Act was passed in 1964.

But, to my knowledge, not only was the term common, Cosell wasn’t known for being a racist.

But “monkey this up?” I never heard that said before and since Gillum is black, let’s reach the logical conclusion that DeSantis’ statement is no doubt an attack on Gillum until DeSantis can prove otherwise.

It’s now 2018! Let’s face it: President Trump made being a racist okay. Like Cosell would say- “tell it like it is.”
