Fox News is Fake News

I love pointing out hypocrisy and inconsistencies. If you want your argument to hold water, your story can’t change or ignore it like it doesn’t exist, the proverbial orange elephant in the room.

Last night, with news of Michael Cohen implicating President Trump in campaign finance law violations and Paul Manafort being found guilty on eight of eighteen charges, I was curious what was happening in Fox News World. Apparently, nothing!

Tomi Lahren

Tomi Lahren- crickets. Multiple posts on the murder of Mollie Tibbetts, but not one post last night or as of today on Michael Cohen or Paul Manafort. That’s odd. But, Lahren had no problem tweeting a few days ago that “truth is the new hate speech.”

Sean Hannity

Sean Hannity- nothing either.

Now, Hannity did have a post from his blog Hannity.com where the full story leads to Fox News, but, no mention of Michael Cohen implicating President Trump.

Paul Manafort? Never happened.

Isn’t that news? Oh, he did post about Logic the rapper wearing a “F### the Wall” T-Shirt. Why? Oh yeah, I almost forgot- getting the base excited about the “witch hunt.”

President Trump

President Trump- The Twitter in Chief and ultimate snowflake did tweet about Michael Cohen in what is at best, a juvenile tweet.

“If anyone is looking for a good lawyer, I would strongly suggest that you don’t retain the services of Michael Cohen!”

Actually, that is funny, but I doubt the President made an attempt at humor. At the rally yesterday in Charleston, West Virginia, nothing on Cohen, but the President had a lot of nice things to say about Paul Manafort.

“Paul Manafort is a good man. He was with Ronald Reagan. He was with a lot of different people over the years. I feel very sad about that. It doesn’t involve me but I still feel — you know it’s a very sad thing that happened. You know, this has nothing to do with Russian collusion.”

President Trump also tweeted about Paul Manafort this morning-

“I feel very badly for Paul Manafort and his wonderful family. “Justice” took a 12 year old tax case, among other things, applied tremendous pressure on him and, unlike Michael Cohen, he refused to “break” – make up stories in order to get a “deal.” Such respect for a brave man!”

First, not a true statement and two, I guess the Presidential Pardon is coming.

Judge Jeanine Pirro

Fox’s Judge Jeanine Pirro had a lot to say, about her dogs. Oh, and retweeting multiple times a post about Robert Mueller.

Faux News

It’s only logical that if there are 1.4 million tweets and Michael Cohen is trending, you would focus on that because it’s newsworthy.

Fox News did have a story on their website about Cohen, but, they completely skipped the part about Cohen implicating President Trump in open court.

Instead, Fox News used multiple quotes from Rudy “Gibberish” Giuliani.

As to me, I’m just a recovering attorney who enjoys writing and discussing politics. People can say whatever they want about bloggers, but I don’t post fake news. Maybe it is my upbringing or my profession, but I face the truth whether I like it or not.

Had Manafort been acquitted, I would have been the first one to write about it and provide my legal analysis. But, the hypocrisy of fake news is really nothing other than news I don’t like to read.

Shame on all of you, especially you Mr. President.
