Per a report by USA Today, FTD the flower delivery company, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
FTD’s bankruptcy was filed in the District of Delaware on Monday, however, FTD made clear that regardless of restructuring it’s debt, it will continue with business as usual and be able to comply with customers’ orders.
President of FTD, Scott Levin, released the following message:
“The important actions we are taking today are designed to enable us to continue supporting our network of florists and business partners and serving consumers while we work to complete the initiatives coming out of our strategic review.”
Currently, FTD is negotiating with Nexus Captial to buy the business, but that would be dependent on approval by the bankruptcy court.
