George Papadopoulos Gets Sentenced

Former foreign policy advisor to President Trump was sentenced today for making false statements to the F.B.I.

Papadopoulos will serve two weeks in prison, pay a $9,500 fine and perform community service.

Before his sentencing, Papadopoulos was allowed to speak on his own behalf where he said in part the following:

“People point and snicker and I am terribly depressed. This investigation has global implications and the truth matters. I am ready to accept my sentence.”

Papadopoulos’ defense attorney- Thomas Breen, made a valid and ultimate winning argument, stating that President Trump has done more to obstruct the investigation than his client. In addition, Breen focused on the inexperience of Papadopoulos regarding these matters.

Of course, President Trump had to tweet:

14 days for $28 MILLION – $2 MILLION a day, No Collusion. A great day for America!
