Happy Hour News, a Storm is Brewing
Time for a drink my friends. Grab your favorite adult beverage, cheers, and let’s go over today’s headline news.
Trump Still at it With Attorney General Jeff Sessions
This quote says it all:
“I’m so sad over Jeff Sessions because he came to me. He was the first Senator that endorsed me. And he wanted to be Attorney General, and I didn’t see it. … And then he went through the nominating process and he did very poorly. I mean, he was mixed up and confused, and people that worked with him for, you know, a long time in the Senate were not nice to him, but he was giving very confusing answers. Answers that should have been easily answered. And that was a rough time for him.”
And yet, he got confirmed. Go figure.
Racist DeSantis Falling Behind
Being a racist just doesn’t pay well these days. Just ask Ron DeSantis who has fallen behind six points in the polls to Andrew Gillum and who has also fallen short on campaign contributions as well.
Stormy Daniels’ book called “Full Disclosure” isn’t out for another two weeks, but it’s getting a lot of attention. Two more excerpts came out.
One, the President would cheat on the Apprentice to have Stormy win, and two, he never wanted to be President.
President Trump’s former divorce attorney is also coming out with a book, and of course, Trump slammed him, too.
Betsy DeVos… Sad…
You’ll enjoy this one. DeVos was at a town hall of students to discuss the First Amendment and said this:
“It is easy to be nasty hiding behind screens and Twitter handles.”
You already know where I am going with this, so I’ll skip to the next headline.
Anita Hill and Brett Kavanaugh
With accusations of sexual misconduct and a Supreme Court Justice, Anita Hill is back in the news. In an interview with Good Morning America on ABC, Hill told George Stephanopoulos that the Senate Judiciary Committee should hit the “pause button” on confirmation.
She’s right. Almost two years without a Supreme Court Justice because Republicans refused to even give a hearing to President Obama’s pick, now everything had to be finished yesterday. I don’t recognize the Republican party anymore.
