Happy Hour News- Kavanaugh Desperate, Protesters Arrested
It’s that time especially since it’s Monday. Time for a drink, wind down, put the day behind you and let’s review today’s headlines news.
Brett Kavanaugh is Desperate
There’s only one way that Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s pre-recorded interview with Fox News can be described: an act of desperation. Of all media outlets that a possible Supreme Court nominee could seek for a legitimate interview, Kavanaugh goes to Fox. I wonder who came up with that idea?
The interview airs tonight at 7 p.m. Of course, like always, the supportive wife is there by her man to defend him. Very predictable.
One hundred twenty-eight protesters were arrested outside the Capitol Hill offices today. Walkouts occurred throughout the country as well in opposition to Brett Kavanaugh.
What’s Going on with Rod Rosenstein
Rumors are that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein was going to be fired since he had a meeting with President Trump, but for now he’s safe. The question is will Rosenstein “resign” or just get fired after the mid-term elections?
The Stormy Daniels’ Trump Lawsuit
Today Stormy Daniel’s attorney Michael Avenatti was in court arguing against the dismissal of his lawsuit against President Trump. The $130k payoff to Daniels that never existed but then did exist, and was a violation of the NDA- Non Disclosure Agreement to speak about it publicly is now not a valid NDA according to Trump’s lawyers.
What this is all about besides the inconsistency of it all is that Trump’s attorneys are arguing since they are no longer disputing the validity of the NDA, then the lawsuit is over. Just legal maneuvering to avoid a deposition of President Trump.
That’s it for today, see you tomorrow morning.
