Happy Labor Day, Coffee and News
It’s Monday morning, but not your typical Monday as you may have the day off thanks to Labor Day.
Regardless, enjoy your coffee and today’s headlines.
This year we are seeing a record number of women, African Americans, Native Americans, and LGBTQ candidates. In total, 430 LGBTQ candidates have sought political office.
Gun Control Rhode Island Schools
Governor Gina Raimondo announced that except for law enforcement officers, all firearms are banned on public school grounds.
According to Gifford’s Law Center, states that allow concealed carry licensed holders to carry firearms on public school grounds are Alabama, Arkansas, New Hampshire, Oregon, Utah and Wyoming.
Mass Shooting Birmingham, Alabama
Last night, six teenagers were shot outside a music venue known as WorkPlay located in downtown Birmingham, Alabama.
In an interview with Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro, Mike Huckabee, the father of White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, is also talking the “deep state” conspiracy gibberish and backed up the claim of the media being the enemy of the people. Very religious-like behavior, right?

Tweet Karma for President Trump
President Trump announced that he will be attending a campaign rally for Ted Cruz, even though Cruz was on the receiving end of many of his insults. Now, activist David Hogg along with a Latino advocacy group called USA Latinx, raised money via GoFundMe for a mobile billboard that will post Trump’s tweets attacking Cruz.
