Harvard Law Students Opposing Brett Kavanaugh

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is a professor at Harvard Law School since 2007, but if law students get their way, he won’t be much longer.

The Harvard Law Record is a student publication, and published this week was an article written by four students that opposed Brett Kavanaugh continuing to teach at Harvard without there being a full investigation into the allegations made by Christine Blasey Ford.

Unless a full and fair investigation is conducted, Harvard Law School cannot allow Kavanaugh to continue teaching its students and the Senate cannot confirm him to the Supreme Court.” Molly Coleman, Vail Kohnert-Yount, Jake Meiseles and Sejal Singh.

Kavanaugh does have a list of students that support his confirmation to the Supreme Court, but at least two students no longer do.

Meiseles wrote that Kavanaugh is known as a “feeder judge,” which means if you get a position with him as a law clerk, that could also lead to better and more prestigious jobs, including working for the Supreme Court, but, Meiseles says that based on the allegations against Kavanaugh, this could make women feel uncomfortable.

Personally, I have made my opinion clear. There is no reason why not to have an FBI investigation into the matters alleged by Dr. Ford. Latest reports have the night in question not so much as a party, but a get together since there were only five people present.

Had the FBI investigated the matter initially, they would have concluded their investigation by now, instead, we have Republicans led by Senator Chuck Grassley playing games with deadlines while Dr. Ford’s life has been turned upside as she had to move out of her home due to her own safety and that of her family’s as they were receive death threats.

The episode details and timeline of Dr ford ‘s expose are very believable. The fact that kavanaugh preferred clerks that looked like models also appears to be true. Where are the indiscretions with his clerks? Loss of control in youth under alcohol demonstrated his need to have power over women in an aggressive manner against their will. This doesn’t go away and without behavior motivation counseling there other incidents over the years. Even with counseling the tendencies would have resulted in minor slips along the way. Why have none of these clerks spoken out? They are your alumni.

When Dr. Ford’s friend spoke out and said she is afraid of enclosed spaces, wanted an exit door in her bedroom just in case, etc. the narrative became okay, maybe she was assaulted, but not by Kavanaugh. How could you possibly know that without an investigation? GOP= Group of Psychics now.
