Multiple media outlets are reporting that the Weinstein Company will be filing for bankruptcy after being unable to obtain financing.
Weinstein was removed from the board from the very company he founded after dozens of reports of sexual harassment and abuse. Weinstein continues to deny the allegations.

The sale and/or obtaining financing were likely complicated by a lawsuit filed by the Attorney General of New York who is seeking compensation for the victims if there is a sale of the company.
