Lane Splitting Bill Passes in California

In politics, it is said “as goes California, so does the rest of the country.” Now, California continues to take strides forward with lane splitting.
California Law AB 51
AB 51 was approved by an 11-0 vote in the California Senate Transportation Committee. The next stop for the bill is the Senate Appropriations Committee which is led by Senator Beall who supports lane splitting.
As controversial as it is, California isn’t doing this blindly. I had written before about the California study on lane splitting. You can find more information on that study here.
