Michael Flynn Seeks to Delay His Sentencing

Michael Flynn the former national security adviser for President Trump is seeking another delay in sentencing.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s work with Flynn is complete, however, his former business partners are set to start their trial in July and since Flynn will be the star witness, the request is to wait for the trial to end before sentencing can proceed.

Of course, the more information that Flynn provides, the more he will seek to reduce his sentence.

Michael Flynn to be the Star Witness

Published March 3, 2019

Michael Flynn is President Trump’s former national security adviser who has also been cooperating with Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Flynn’s former lobbying partner Bijan Kian is scheduled for trial, and Kian’s legal team is seeking all evidence tied into Flynn’s investigation and cooperation with federal prosecutors, including Mueller’s memos.

Kian and Flynn were partners in a lobbying firm and Kian was charged for illegally lobbying on behalf of the Turkish government which included lobbying American politicians for the extradition of the Turkish cleric Fethullah Gulen, who currently lives in Pennsylvania.

Kian’s defense would be to discredit Mueller, which includes lying to Vice President Mike Pence about his contacts with Russia. As a result, we may learn more about Flynn’s involvement and his cooperation with Mueller.

Going back, remember that Flynn’s sentencing hearing was delayed because he was about to plea guilty and Judge Ellis was asking if Flynn’s actions amounted to treason.
