Former Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee Devin Nunes, has served as nothing but as an obstructionist to the investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, even having secret meetings at the White House without even consulting with his own committee. That may cost him and rightfully so.
The Special Counsel’s Office is looking at a breakfast meeting that involved Nunes, Michael Flynn, and dozens of foreign officials. The meeting took place at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 18, 2017, just days before President Donald Trump’s inauguration.
The breakfast came under scrutiny by federal prosecutors in Manhattan as part of their probe into Trump’s inaugural committee misspending campaign funds.
Because more than sixty foreign officials were invited, the Special Counsel’s Office is looking into whether foreigners contributed funds by using American intermediaries; pay for play. Sound familiar?
The night before was the Global Chairman’s dinner, an exclusive event that would have allowed Trump and his campaign easy access to foreign diplomats that were in attendance from countries such as Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Israel, Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark, Japan, Angola, Former Kazakh Ambassador Kairat Umarov and senior Qatari officials.
