Per President Trump’s own attorneys, Special Counsel Robert Mueller has detailed notes that could lead to obstruction of justice charges against the President.
In a report by the New York Times, Annie Donaldson who is the former Chief of Staff to former White House Counsel Don McGahn, provided Mueller with detailed notes about President Trump’s conduct.
Trump’s attorneys told The Times that Donaldson’s notes about the president were “a jewel in the special counsel’s investigation” regarding charges of obstruction of justice.
Donaldson’s notes apparently were “exhaustive” about Trump’s behavior in the West Wing.
Now, read that quote again. Are Trump’s attorneys finally realizing that this is the reality of their client’s situation? Remember, Trump’s legal team headed by t.v. lawyer Rudy Giuliani, never wanted Trump to do a face-to-face interview with Special Counsel Mueller.
Trump’s attorneys have always fought back against allegations of obstruction of justice and if anything, they have said that is what Mueller will be pursuing, but would not get.
However, in that one sentence it seems Trump’s attorneys have given in and now the President will be charged criminally.
Rumors are that Mueller’s report will be released shortly and Trump’s attorneys have a habit of making off the cuff statements that reveal more than they wanted to.
