New Policy for Divorce and Bankruptcy Consultations Because of Coronavirus

In order to “flatten the curve” and help prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), effective immediately, all consultations regarding bankruptcy and divorce will be by telephone only.

Divorce consultations will be reduced to $50 and take approximately 30 to 60 minutes. Chapter 7 bankruptcy consultations will be $25 and also take approximately between a half hour to an hour. The consultation fee shall be applied as a credit towards the initiation of your case.

All documents can be sent via email or regular mail. Since I continue to accept cases in Miami where I practiced bankruptcy and divorce law for 18 years, working remotely is something I am accustomed to. In addition, as a professor of law, I also teach online which includes live video seminars. Therefore, because of my experience with technology, being able to transition to work remotely allows for the continuous and fluent progression of your case without any interruptions.

If you are not comfortable with using emails to send and receive documents, it can be done via regular mail as well.

Thank you and please heed all warnings from experts such as the CDC (Center for Disease Control), and be safe during these unprecedented times.
