No Murder Insurance in California

Following in New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo footsteps, the California Department of Insurance sent a cease and desist order to the NRA (National Rifle Association) regarding it’s Carry Guard Insurance.

Governor Cuomo actually urged other states to follow suit and we knew they would.

California’s Department of Insurance cease and desist letter is based on the NRA not having proper licensing for insurance products. In Governor’s Cuomo case, there was a threat of a lawsuit that ultimately resulted in a settlement of $7 million.

Carry Guard insurance is a self-defense insurance policy that covers legal costs that result from any lawsuit in reference to firing a firearm whether in self-defense, hunting, or recreation.
