President Trump Gets Played Again- This Time by Saudi Arabia
Reports are that Saudi Arabia is preparing to confirm that Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi died while being interrogated. Even worse, latest reports are that Khashoggi’s body was dismembered and removed from the consulate.
After it was agreed to that Turkish investigators could review the possible crime scene, like a Quentin Taratino movie, the day before “cleaners” were sent in to wipe clean all the evidence before officials were allowed to investigate.
From the beginning, President Trump failed to accept what Turkish officials had said, even floating the idea with the media that maybe “rogue killers” were behind this. Yet, Turkish officials claim to have audio and video evidence.
What worries me is that Khashoggi was a columnist for the Washington Post, and more and more foreign dictators and countries are yelling out fake news and the media is the enemy of the people. Have no doubt that the media is under attack, a full out war, and Khashoggi was a very vocal critic against the Saudi Arabia government, having left the country in 2017.
It is not the first time that President Trump sides with those accused and most likely, won’t be the last. But, this presents an even bigger issue.
Forget the ties between Jared Kushner, President Trump, and the Saudis. What I’m focusing on is yet again, the President uses conspiracy theories based on zero facts, and even worse, he is made a fool of again before the world. He’s always working as the personal public relations representative for the wrong countries.
We saw it with President Putin and the Helsinki Summit where President Trump believed the words of Putin over that of his own intelligence community, then concocted some crazy double-negative explanation as to why he was misunderstood.
Trump was played like a fiddle by North Korea and Kim Jung Un who wanted a seat at the table and got one without the United States getting one concession in return.
Now, it’s the Saudis who had Trump believe they had nothing to do with this because of a phone call with Saudi Arabia’s King Salman, where Trump said that King Salman denied it “in a very firm way that they had no knowledge of it.”
Why does this happen to Trump? It’s simple and not complicated at all. President Trump lacks the understanding of world politics and dealing with regimes, dictators, and foreign enemy governments. Of course, that what staff is for, but he doesn’t listen to his staff. Instead, the President attacks his staff regularly if they aren’t loyalists because loyalty supersedes competence.
General Mattis was the latest to have his intellect insulted by President Trump in his “60 Minutes” interview this past Sunday. That’s why there are reports that the White House staff protects the country from Trump, not the other way around. That certain information is not provided to him, especially if it presents a risk to National Security. Some call that the deep state, but it sounds more like people who have stuck around in jobs they don’t like for the good of the country.
It’s become clear that the biggest risk this country faces is not Russia or North Korea, hackers, or a collapsing economy. The biggest threat to the United States is President Trump himself. Want to destroy a mob family, corporation, or better yet a government? Cause it to implode.
I’ve said before there is silver lining in all this, and as it relates to being played, well, the good news is that Special Counsel Robert Mueller has been playing Trump all along. Why else do you think he hasn’t been fired yet? There’s checkers, and then there’s chess.

Besides all the success that Robert Mueller and has team of prosecutors have accomplished within a short period of time, by far his biggest success is that he still hasn’t been fired by President Trump.
Our country has become political, and that’s not a bad thing. I know the results aren’t immediate nor fast enough in today’s instant world, but maybe this is what was needed.
