President Trump is the Enemy of the People

President Trump creates such outrage consistently, that at times it is hard to even figure out what to be outraged about, if at all. However, with his latest attacks on the media, President Trump has not only crossed the line, he erased it with his rhetoric and has put everyone in danger just to protect himself.

That means one thing: he knows Robert Mueller is close.

President Trump is like a cornered wild animal that will strike again and again, until he’s left alone, but our democracy cannot stand for it. We cannot allow corruption, racism, and chaos to become the norm.

President Trump and the Lester Holt Interview

President Trump now to cover up his own corruption, is attacking his own interview with NBC News and Lester Holt.

In an interview with Holt last year, President Trump stated he had fired FBI Director James Comey because of the way Comey had handled the investigation of Russian election meddling. It’s on tape for the world to see and now realizing he put his foot in his mouth, well, that recording just isn’t true.

President Trump is accusing NBC News of “fudging” his interview. Does he have proof? None. This is very dangerous. You can only imagine how his base will react when they now believe everything negative said about the President has been doctored by the media, “the enemy of the people.”

“What’s going on at @CNN is happening, to different degrees, at other networks – with @NBCNews being the worst. The good news is that Andy Lack(y) is about to be fired(?) for incompetence, and much worse. When Lester Holt got caught fudging my tape on Russia, they were hurt badly!”

Leave no room for interpretation: this is now a full out war against the media to support his “fake news ” mantra.

The Firing of FBI Director James Comey

President Trump, ignorant as always, went against what his own White House had stated: that firing Comey was a recommendation by Attorney General Jeff Sessions and supported by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. Instead, President Trump admitted he was going to do it anyway, which could be his first act of obstruction of justice.

“Regardless of recommendation, I was going to fire Comey knowing there was no good time to do it And in fact, when I decided to just do it, I said to myself — I said, you know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made-up story. It’s an excuse by the Democrats for having lost an election that they should’ve won.”- President Trump interview with Lester Holt.

It’s possible we crossed the point of no return a long time ago, but now President Trump has set up the argument that the media is manipulating videos, words, and speeches.

Where’s Congress? House Speaker Paul Ryan? Republicans and the GOP? I’ll tell you where: gone from Washington, all ready to enjoy their long Labor Day weekend, hoping by Tuesday everyone has moved on, allowing President Trump to continue with his dangerous authoritarian rhetoric.

Try to put into perspective the President’s accusation: the media is fabricating evidence against him. We are in a very dangerous place right now.
