President Trump Makes it All About Him Today Instead of John McCain
As written about in a prior post, President Trump went against standard protocol and raised the American flag today back to full mast. No surprise there, he not only hates Senator John McCain, he wants all the attention on him, and he got it.
Because President Donald Trump doesn’t have the ability to separate good press from bad press, just that any press is better than none at all, he now ordered the lowering of the American flag back to half-mast, keeping the focus on him.
Mind you, the President refused to answer any questions today in reference to John McCain. What a ####### ####### is the President.
He also finally wrote the proclamation.
“Despite our differences on policy and politics, I respect Senator John McCain’s service to our country.” President Trump.
If that were true, he would admit that John McCain is a war hero, but what do draft dodgers know about being a hero.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders may have been at a breaking point today because she was asked why the proclamation was written today. Her terse response: “the President’s decision to do and the statement speaks for itself.”
Luckily, the American Legion spoke out. The American Legion’s tweet and letter can be seen below, along with President Trump’s proclamation in full.
