President Trump Not Releasing Classified Russia Probe Documents
President Trump for more than a week has been saying he was going to release classified documents pertaining to the Russia probe which we all knew all along was a ruse to release documents that only favored his narrative. However, the Justice Department put a brake on his plans.
In part, President Trump was going to release the FISA warrant and court order related to Carter Page, but, the Justice Department made clear that doing so could affect negatively the Russia probe.
Along with Page’s FISA warrant, Trump planned to release text messages between Bruce Ohr, former FBI Directors James Comey and Andrew McCabe, and former FBI employees Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.
What a coincidence on the list President Trump chose. The President actually believed he should release classified documents in the middle of a pending investigation. Smh… I guess he won’t be exposing “really bad things” like he tweeted about. If that’s not a sign of incompetence, I don’t know what is.
Of course, Trump flunky and future Trump political patsy Devin Nunes, has been saying the democrats were going to be “frightened” with the information that was going to be released. I guess not anymore. I really cannot see Nunes surviving another term. Word is his constituents aren’t all too happy with him.
I’m guessing it wasn’t only officials from the Justice Department that suggested Trump not release the classified documents, but his own legal team should have advised him this could be considered yet another step towards obstruction of justice.
