Rudy + Fox News + Interview = Gibberish
In an interview on Fox’s Sunday Futures with Maria Bartiromo, Giuliani once again proved that he is nothing other than a Trump flunky that will say anything, regardless of the ethics involved.
Attention to aspiring lawyers: DON’T BE RUDY GIULIANI IF YOU VALUE YOUR REPUTATION. Trust me- in the legal profession- that’s all you have.
Of course, Rudy Giuliani who is all talk and no action, replied:
“Then we take his deposition right away. As the plaintiff he’d have to go first. I’d volunteer to do that case for the president. I’d love to have Brennan under oath for I don’t know, how many days — two, three days? We’ll find out about Brennan.”
What is Giuliani going to find out? Nothing. Whatever background check he does is not going to be more invasive than the one done by the CIA.
The last time Giuliani tried a case, I didn’t have gray hair. That was a long time ago. Note to Giuliani- trial law is not like riding a bike. And by the way, Brennan would run circles around you.
“How do you become CIA director if in the midst of the Cold War, you voted for a Communist? Only President Obama would pick you.”
Let’s analyze this statement about Brennan being a communist since I keep coming across it on the internet.
First, some quick facts. During the Cold War that ended in 1991, President Obama was thirty years old. Eighteen years later, Obama became the President. More importantly, President Obama is not a communist or Muslim for that fact. Seriously, he’s not.
Google, which Trump supporters fear, a quick search led me to the Politifact.com. Brennan did in fact vote for Gus Hall, the leader for the Communist Party USA. But, unlike President Trump, Brennan admits to what he does. He doesn’t double down and he actually volunteered this information.
At an annual conference of the Black Caucus, Brennan was asked about diversity in the intelligence community. Brennan’s response:
“I said I was neither Democratic or Republican, but it was my way, as I was going to college, of signaling my unhappiness with the system, and the need for change. I said I’m not a member of the Communist Party, so the polygrapher looked at me and said, ‘OK,’ and when I was finished with the polygraph and I left and said, ‘Well, I’m screwed.'”
So, some kid in college, rebelling against the system, voted for someone in the Communist Party. Yeah, I admit, not the most normal thing to do, but then again, I didn’t live during those turbulent times.
It’s like when I say I’m glad I wasn’t older during the Eighties in Miami with cocaine cowboys running the show. Those days were insane and who knows what sort of trouble I would have gotten myself into, especially as a lawyer since laundering money was as common as brushing your teeth.
The interesting thing about the Politifact article: Brennan’s vote came after the Nixon-Watergate scandal, ironically enough what we are experiencing now, and the general attitude towards politics at the time was not positive. Sound familiar?
And did I mention already Brennan was in the CIA which you would have to believe tolerates communism in order to accept him into their ranks and that he has admitted this numerous times? Voluntarily!
Like Brennan, I’m also disillusioned with today’s politics and that’s exactly why I started this blog. Will I vote for the communist party? No, because that would be throwing away my vote and I’m 46 years old, not twenty-something like Brennan was at the time.
But, as a registered independent since high school, I will tell you I’m not voting for anyone with an “R” next to their name.
