Samuel Patten- Washington Lobbyist and Ukrainian Consultant Takes Plea
Lobbyist Samuel Patten just pleaded guilty to being unregistered as foreign agent, a case that was referred by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
Taking his plea today before the same judge that is handling Paul Manafort’s second trial, Judge Amy Berman Jackson, Patten’s plea agreement includes cooperating with the Justice Department.
Patten worked as a lobbyist in Washington and for the Ukrainians from 2014 until 2017 and wrote op-ed pieces for media outlets.
While there is no mention of Paul Manafort and his associates in the charging document, Robert Mueller’s legal team was present in court for the plea.
