Special Counsel Mueller Gets Another $4.6 Million

The law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP has reached a settlement with federal prosecutors to turn over $4.6 million.

Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation resulted in attorney Alex van der Zwaan serving thirty days in prison last year for lying to FBI agents.

Van der Zwann had worked on a report for Paul Manafort and Rick Gates that was part of “a Ukrainian foreign influence campaign.”

As part of the agreement, the law firm has to register as a foreign agent.
