Ted Cruz is the Reason Why You and I Are not Politicians

Remember the insults hurled by then Candidate Trump against Senator Ted Cruz during the 2016 campaigns? Didn’t, and I hate to admit this, the President of the United States have some total whack job of an accusation that Senator Ted Cruz’s father was somehow involved in the assassination of JFK? Another sign not to vote for him.

Then didn’t Trump go after Cruz’s wife, Heidi Cruz, insinuating that he had dirt on her that most of us thought meant she was involved in an affair?

Well, two years later, Ted Cruz’s dad has not been implicated in the murder of JFK and no dirt has been spilled on his wife. So, what has changed?

Self-Serving Interests

I guess when you enter politics, the only priority is yourself. I know, politicians say otherwise all the time, but, I beg to differ. And apparently, Ted Cruz is shaking in his boots because of Beto O’Rourke, that he has now asked President Trump to campaign for him in Texas.

Think about that. Think of the insults that Trump hurled at Cruz. He did the same to Rand Paul who also suffers from short-term political memory loss, but his wife? Seriously?

In the old days, you defended your wife’s honor. Sure, a right hook by Cruz to Trump would have made for great t.v. and may result in legal issues, but if Cruz did that, hell, even I would have voted for him. Besides, he does have legal defenses available to him.

“I would certainly welcome his support, and I hope to see him in Texas.” Senator Ted Cruz

Sorry Senator, but you have zero spine and/or cojones. That should and will cost you the election. How are you going to stand up and protect the interests of your state when you can’t even stand up for your own wife? It’s disgraceful and shameful to say the least, and the only thing worse is if Heidi doesn’t seek a divorce because she is serving her own interests.

For a while there, we all believed Cruz would rebel against the President. Who can forget “vote your conscious” at the Republican Convention. But that’s it. At the time that was scandalous.

Senator Cruz acts like a man of honor and virtue, now, he sounds like he only cares about himself. And if he is that self-serving, where he cannot even defend the honor of the mother of his children, he doesn’t deserve to be in the Senate or anywhere else except divorce court.

Way to set an example for your kids. Pride may not pay the bills, but I’d rather live in a cardboard box under I-95 than to sell myself out like I am a political prostitute.
