Trump Already Lost on the Border Wall and the Government Shutdown

President Trump will make an announcement today as an offer to end the government shutdown which is on day twenty-nine.

It is believed that President Trump will stick to his request of $5.7 billion, but in return, he may offer legislation for DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) recipients.

Let’s go back in time before we go back twenty-four hours ago.

President Trump was initially offered $25 billion to fund the border wall by Democrats for exactly the same deal.

So, right off the top, if someone won that negotiation, it would be the Democrats because assuming they agree to $5.7 billion, they reduced the total amount by $20 billion.

President Trump had the House and the Senate for two years, and yet Republicans kept kicking funding for the border wall down the street like an old can. Why? Most likely because they did not want this on their hands. It really defies all logic and reason for Republicans to have not given Trump his money.

Now that the government shutdown is a few days short of a month, Trump makes his latest plea. Why?

Because the U.S. Supreme Court did not accept appeals from the Trump administration on DACA, meaning that if the Supreme Court does decide to hear these cases at some point, it won’t happen until the next term which is October 1.

The Supreme Court’s decision or lack thereof, occurred yesterday, and what a “coincidence” that President Trump tweets his announcement, no doubt after he knew the Supreme Court failed to hear the case. Trump’s tweet was at almost 6 p.m. Do the math.

Trump tweeted:

I will be making a major announcement concerning the Humanitarian Crisis on our Southern Border, and the Shutdown, tomorrow afternoon at 3 P.M., live from the @WhiteHouse.

Also, notice President Trump is now always using the words “humanitarian crisis,” a term he picked up from the Democrats.

In addition, President Trump seems like he will NOT declare the border wall a national emergency. That’s because he can’t, and it will result in another loss in the courts and I made that clear from the beginning.

Now the question that remains is do Democrats mention the above and remind President Trump that Mexico is paying for “the wall” and that they are only willing to provide “border security” which is a big difference. Meanwhile, I’m still waiting for this migrant caravan to bum rush the border and flood the country with drugs and murderers.

Either way, Trump lost on the border wall and the amount of funding he sought, but we know here comes the spin.
