Trump Screwed Again by a Republican Judge
President Trump likes to say and tweet that he is always winning and who can forget when he said once at a campaign rally that we would get tired of winning, but realistically, Trump is losing all the time in court, including being ruled against by Republican federal judges appointed by his own administration.
Remember when Rudy Giuliani and President Trump were running around saying collusion is not a crime, even though it actually is, and the only person who committed collusion was Hillary Clinton, which begs the question what are the “lock her up” chants for if she didn’t commit a crime?
Maybe some other made up crime as now we know Trump wanted to prosecute Hillary and former FBI director James Comey based on ignorant far-right conspiracies.
Only a dictator or President Trump, would even consider prosecuting what he considers political enemies.
“I have been sitting here looking in the federal code trying to find collusion as a crime. Collusion is not a crime.” Rudy Giuliani interview with CNBC.
There is no doubt that Rudy Giuliani has tried to stay one step ahead of the game. We saw it with Stormy Daniels, Karen McDougal, and the Cohen tapes. This is the opposite of President Trump’s approach which is to deny everything. Once again, Giuliani is stepping away from the pack by focusing on the word “collusion.”
Now Judge Dabney Friedrich who was appointed by President Trump, just ruled that collusion is a crime, which could have huge implications for the Special Counsel investigation headed by Robert Mueller.
Myself, and legal experts agree that obstruction of justice could easily be proven by Mueller, but collusion would be much more difficult especially since “intent” is at issue.
But, Judge Friedrich’s ruling no doubt has Mueller thinking that collusion, “conspiracy to defraud the United States” is possible against President Trump and those in his campaign.
Judge Friedrich ruled on a Mueller case against Russian company Concord Management & Consulting, which in a Mueller indictment is accused of bankrolling Russian online “trolls” who used social media to create a disinformation campaign in favor of President Trump.
Per Judge Dabney Friedrich, collaborating with a foreign entity in a “conspiracy to defraud the United States” is a violation of federal law, even if none of the acts by either party are themselves crimes, meaning conspiracy charges.
Concord Management is owned by “Putin’s chef,” Yevgeny Prigozhin, who also made the losing argument that Mueller’s appointment is unconstitutional, the same losing argument made by all those indicted, convicted, or currently being investigated by Mueller.
