It was just last week where I posted a blog on all of a sudden, the U.S. Mexico border wall wasn’t a wall anymore. It became steel slats and then “border enhancements.”
Now that President Trump got outplayed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, Trump is going to have to give in. Will he spin the narrative? Of course he will. Not only will he spin it, he will flat out lie about it, but that’s another issue.
By the way, the President finished off the year with an average of fifteen lies a day.
We are sixteen days into the government shutdown and some Republicans are already jumping ship. Senator Mitch McConnell can only hold off the Republicans for so long, so Trump is running out of time. What’s next? Confirmation that he lied to his base and he is melting under the pressure.
President Trump tweeted yesterday:
“V.P. Mike Pence and group had a productive meeting with the Schumer/Pelosi representatives today. Many details of Border Security were discussed. We are now planning a Steel Barrier rather than concrete. It is both stronger & less obtrusive. Good solution, and made in the U.S.A. “
Now, here is a question- if President Trump is a developer, wouldn’t he know that a “steel barrier” is preferable to concrete? Regardless, it doesn’t matter because the wall was nothing more than a gimmick created by Roger Stone. And yet, half the country fell for this gimmick.
But, what does President Trump tweet the day before:
….The only reason they do not want to build a Wall is that Walls Work! 99% of our illegal Border crossings will end, crime in our Country will go way down and we will save billions of dollars a year! A properly planned and constructed Wall will pay for itself many times a year! “
And the day before that, President Trump tweets that “the wall is coming.”
I am not a general contractor, but that looks more like a fence.
