Want a Divorce? Take a Quiz First!
Getting a divorce in Florida is easy, maybe too easy, but if you lived in China, a divorce may become a little more complicated. Is that a good thing?
In China, in order to start the divorce process, you have to take a quiz first. Questions asked include important dates like birthdays and anniversaries. The purpose of the quiz is to make couples reflect on their relationship. For now, the quiz isn’t mandatory. Divorce rates in China have increased ten percent when compared to last year.
Dissolution of Marriage- Florida
In Florida, one of the questions a judge will always ask a petitioner in a dissolution of marriage is if the marriage irretrievably broken. Some judges may even ask if there is anything they could do to “fix” the marriage. Other than that, in Florida, the only requirement for a divorce is that one of the parties has resided in the state for at least six months prior to the filing of the divorce petition.
Florida is what is called a “no-fault” state, meaning you do not need a legal reasoning to proceed with a divorce.
