White House Counsel Don McGahn Leaving- Not a Good Thing

Earlier today it was confirmed that Don McGahn, the White House counsel, will resign by the end of the year.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise since reports are that President Trump has been fuming since he found out that McGahn had spent at least thirty hours speaking with Robert Mueller’s legal team. Do the math- that was eleven days ago and McGahn is likely to be a witness in the Mueller probe.

Of course, McGahn is scheduled to leave as President Trump and the Republicans try to jam Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh down our throats.

“White House Counsel Don McGahn will be leaving his position in the fall, shortly after the confirmation (hopefully) of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court. I have worked with Don for a long time and truly appreciate his service!”

How many now have quit or been fired from President Trump’s administration? The link below will put it in perspective for you.

Chuck Grassley, the Republican Senator from Iowa tweeted in response to President Trump.

“@realdonaldtrump I hope it’s not true McGahn is leaving WhiteHouse Counsel. U can’t let that happen.”

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell-

“Don McGahn is the most impressive White House Counsel during my time in Washington.”
